Avyukta Mobile sells gadgets across India: dash cams, action cameras, CCTV, drones, projectors, gaming consoles, power banks and more. It also has a shop in Mumbai. The business started selling online in 2022. Its store used to run on Shopify. Today it runs on Shoopy, and it sells about ₹1 crore a month.
“We started our online journey in 2022 with just 4–5 orders a day.” — Pritam Ghosh, CEO, Avyukta Mobile
Why Avyukta left Shopify
Avyukta gave two reasons:
- Cost. Shopify’s plan, its transaction fee and the apps on top added up.
- Support. Avyukta wanted to reach a person by phone or on WhatsApp when something went wrong. Shopify’s support did not offer that.
On Shoopy, support is a WhatsApp conversation with a person.
What the store runs on today
The main store, avyuktamobile.com, is on Shoopy’s Business plan. Checkout runs through GoKwik. Customers can pay online or choose cash on delivery. The store ships across India and offers 7-day replacement.
Avyukta also runs a second Shoopy store, Avyukta Global, for its own range of three-channel dash cams. The site describes the range plainly: “We make one thing, and we make it in three sizes.” It gives ₹200 off prepaid orders, keeps cash on delivery available, and names Blue Dart, Delhivery and DTDC for delivery.
“Its simple dashboard, easy order management, marketing tools and logistics integrations make managing our growing online business much easier.” — Pritam Ghosh
What the platform costs, side by side
Avyukta’s figures today: about 4,800 orders a month, about ₹2,100 an order, and about 40% of orders paid online. That is about 57,600 orders and about ₹12.1 crore in sales a year.
A store this size on Shopify would not stay on Basic, where the fee is 2%. The cheaper choice is Grow. Shopify charges its fee only on orders paid through a third-party gateway; cash on delivery orders carry no Shopify fee. Shoopy’s fee applies to every order past the plan’s free limit, including cash on delivery, and is capped at ₹5.
| One year | Shopify Grow | Shoopy Business |
|---|---|---|
| Plan | ₹67,188 | ₹12,999 |
| Order fees | 1% of ₹4.84 crore prepaid sales = ₹4,83,840 | 56,600 orders past the free 1,000 × ₹5 = ₹2,83,000 |
| Total | ₹5,51,028 | ₹2,95,999 |
That is about ₹2.55 lakh a year less, or about 46%. On Shopify Advanced the total is ₹5,62,464, and the gap is about 47%.
How we worked this out:
- Shopify prices are its India pricing on yearly billing, read on 17 September 2026: Grow ₹5,599 a month with a 1% fee, Advanced ₹22,680 a month with a 0.6% fee. App charges are not included. Apps would add to Shopify’s side.
- Shoopy Business is ₹12,999 for the first year and renews at ₹8,999. At ₹2,100 an order the 0.5% fee is above the ₹5 cap, so every order past the free limit pays ₹5.
- Gateway charges on online payments go to the payment gateway on both platforms, so they are left out.
- The saving depends on the prepaid share. At 30% prepaid it is about 31%; at 50% it is about 56%.
Who this fits
A seller with a physical shop and a large online catalogue, where many customers still pay on delivery, and who wants a person to answer on WhatsApp. See how Shopify and Shoopy compare, the pricing, or the live store at avyuktamobile.com.
